A character dance is done with a wide skirt and shoes similar to tap shoes but without the taps. A ballet dancer is usually considered able to do contemporary, character, jazz or modern and of course classical.

Theory is basically the knowledge of what step is what and what position is what. You don't do theory exams but should be asked theory questions in your ballet exams, The adjudicator will ask you to show a move or position or will ask if a move should be done forward or behind *( I know that it should be derrie air but have most likely spelt that wrong as I am not the one who has done ballet theory but my daughter has for 14 years)

If you feel your teacher isn't doing theory or teaching you what you should know for exams ask her for the syllabus so you can see for yourself what you should know.

I don't think there is such a thing or least I never heard of it the5 years I took ballet.
ballet theory usually refers to which position is what (feet and arms) and the vocabulary...what is a port-de bras, etc...things like that...though i've had a theory exam talking about Louis XIV....technically, i would call ballet history the theory of the ballet, meaning how classical has developped in russia, france, italy etc..what are the different terms, what is the origin of the term, how did classical became reknowned in russia, france, italy...who has participated in the evolution of classical...etc...
character looks like abull dance from spain to me long skirts and like usually red lipstick and its like very idk how to explain it google it and watch a video...idk what the ballet theory is
Character Dance is Folk Dance. Theory Exams are given at the Royal Academy of Ballet, in England and in classes that teach the Cechetti (Italian) technique. The Vaganova (Russian) technique also includes theory. Do some web searches with these terms and see what you find. There are books on the subject that might be carried by Amazon.
